Demand Planning

smartS&OP offers unprecedented flexibility in demand planning. Regardless of whether you are planning customer-neutral, customer-specific or a mix of both – with smartS&OP you can process a wide variety of demand types into a single point of truth.

Create action points along the entire product hierarchy to generate the best possible consensus requirements plans in collaboration with your sales department and other stakeholders and switch between quantity planning and turnover planning at the click of a mouse.

Finally, an interactive KPI area with key performance indicators supports prioritization and continuous target tracking.

Internal Supply Planning

Once your consensus demand plan has been approved, smartS&OP calculates your capacity requirements for each work center via bills of material and routing data. In Internal Supply Planning, these requirements are set against your production capacities and bottlenecks or overcapacities are prioritized fully automatically and made visible at a glance.

You use Action Points to control the available capacity in various scenarios, but also the capacity requirements, analogous to a master production plan, with functions such as outsourcing or the 1-click leveling function, while monitoring stock changes in the designated Inventory Development Chart.

External Supply Planning

In External Supply Planning, smartS&OP compares your planned supplier requirements with – where available – existing contracts or with historical deliveries in order to identify problems at an early stage and solve them via Action Points.

In addition to simply increasing or reducing the available capacity, the tool also offers functions such as multi-sourcing and functionalities to simulate preventive earlier call-offs.

smartS&OP automatically prioritizes your most critical suppliers and their problem parts in a clear heat map for each scenario and visualizes your planning success.
